My-Notes (“the App”) is a personal notes and tasks manager. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights when you use the App.

The App allows you to create and manage your own content, such as:

- Notes 
- Tasks / to‑do items 
- Titles, descriptions, tags, and other text you enter 

This content is stored locally on your device. We do not require you to create an account or provide personal information to use the core features of the App.

We do not access or transmit the content of your notes or tasks to our servers or to third parties, except as required by law or as described in this policy (for example, crash logs that may incidentally include small snippets of text if a crash occurs while you are editing).

2.2 Automatically collected information

We use third-party services that may collect certain information automatically:

Firebase Analytics

- Device information (e.g., device model, OS version, language) 
- App version and build number 
- Approximate location derived from IP address (country/region level) 
- Usage information (e.g., which screens you visit, how long you use the App, interactions with features) 

This data is used to understand how the App is used and to improve performance and user experience. Firebase Analytics does not collect directly identifying information such as your name or email address.

Firebase Crashlytics

- Device information (e.g., device model, OS version) 
- App version and build number 
- Crash and error logs, including stack traces 
- Non-sensitive diagnostic data about the state of the App at the time of a crash 

Crash logs may, in rare cases, include small fragments of text that were in memory at the time of a crash (for example, part of a note you were editing). We do not intentionally collect or view your note content, and we do not use such data for any purpose other than diagnosing and fixing crashes.

Google AdMob

- Information needed to serve and measure ads, such as:
  - Device identifiers (e.g., Advertising ID) 
  - IP address 
  - App usage and ad interaction data (e.g., ad impressions, clicks) 
  - Approximate location (derived from IP address) 

AdMob may use cookies and similar technologies to personalize ads and measure ad performance. This data is processed according to Google’s privacy policies.

3. How We Use Information

We and our third-party providers use the collected information to:

- Provide, maintain, and improve the App 
- Understand how users interact with the App (via Firebase Analytics) 
- Detect, diagnose, and fix bugs and crashes (via Firebase Crashlytics) 
- Show relevant ads and measure ad performance (via Google AdMob) 
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our rights 

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

- Your notes and tasks are stored locally on your device. 
- We do not operate a server that stores your personal notes or tasks. 
- Third-party services (Firebase and AdMob) store their collected data on their own servers, in accordance with their privacy policies and security practices. 

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction of data. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Choices and Controls

You have several choices regarding data collection and ads:

App usage and analytics

- You can stop using the App at any time. 
- Some platforms allow you to limit ad tracking or reset your advertising ID in device settings. 

Ads personalization

- You can opt out of personalized ads:
  - On Android: use the “Opt out of Ads Personalization” option in your device settings.

Crash reporting

- Crash data collection via Crashlytics is part of the App’s normal operation to ensure stability. If you do not want to use the App under these conditions, you may choose not to install or to uninstall the App.

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child without parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided information to us through the App, please contact us at umarskaboji@gmail.com.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App, our practices, or legal requirements. The “Effective date” at the top of this policy will indicate when the changes were made.
